21 Days of Prayer and Fasting
As we step into the new year, we are filled with excitement and expectation for what God has in store for us in 2025! To position our hearts and align our lives with His will, we are inviting you to join us for 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting from January 6 to January 26, 2025.
This year’s theme is "Momentum"—a word that captures the power of God to propel us forward, under the weightiness of His Glory to fulfill His purpose and plans for 2025. Just as a runner needs a strong push to break into a sprint, we believe this time of prayer and fasting will ignite spiritual momentum in our lives, our families, our community and our church.
Throughout these 21 days, we will set aside time to seek God through prayer and fasting. It’s a season to surrender distractions, tune our ears to God’s voice, and deepen our connection with Him. Whether you are believing God for personal breakthrough, guidance, or revival in our church and community, this is the time to press in together!
The word “fast” in the Bible means to cover (your mouth). You can fast anything you choose.... Some people choose to go on a fast from something other than food, such as social media, television, secular music, etc. What you fast is between you and God. The point is that you are making a legitimate SACRIFICE that changes your schedule/routine in a major way, freeing up time to spend with the Lord.
One of the most common fasts that people do is called the Daniel Fast.
A Daniel Fast is based on stories in the Bible starting with Daniel 1, where Daniel, a young man from Judah who has been taken captive to serve in the king’s palace, refuses delicacies offered by the king. the Bible says, he had an excellent spirit within him and purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with unclean food that was against Old Testament law. He asked his supervisor to let him eat vegetables and water for a time, and at the end of that time he was found to be better in appearance and shape than those who ate the delicacies. God gave Daniel great favor in knowledge and skill, and the gift of understanding vision and dreams. In Daniel 10, he spent 21 days fasting and praying, to humble himself before God.
We take part in the Daniel Fast as a church to renew and refocus our spiritual commitment to God through prayer and dependance on Him.
During the fast, we remove meat, sweets, and bread from our diets and consume water, juice, fruits, vegetables, and lentils (Daniel 1: 5-21 and Daniel 10: 2-3). The Daniel Fast is similar to a vegan diet in that it excludes the consumption of animal products and also excludes processed foods, additives, preservatives, flavorings, sweeteners, alcohol, and products made with white flours.

Let’s step into 2025 with bold faith and expectancy. As we seek the Lord together, I believe we will see His hand move mightily, creating momentum that carries us into His plans for this year and beyond.
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)
Church family, we are praying for you as we prepare for this sacred time. Let’s commit to taking this journey together, trusting that God will meet us in very powerful and personal ways.
In faith and expectancy,
Pastor’s Ron & Cari
